Experience the eclipse on campus

On April 8 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., join the UTM department of chemical and physical sciences and UTM alumni relations on the field outside of the Davis Building to witness a near total solar eclipse. Assistant professor Marta Bryan and students of astronomy and biology will describe the importance of the eclipse and its effects. STEM judges needed for science fair
UTM is hosting the Peel Regional Science Fair again this year on April 12, and looking for volunteer judges with a STEM background. Graduate students, faculty, postdoctoral fellows, technicians and senior undergrads can sign up at uoft.me/Judges2024. Repair work begins on P4 parking deck
The ramp to the P4 parking deck lower level entrance is closed until early May to repair the damaged deck and install a new concrete panel.   
With the exception of a fenced construction area on the Upper Level, parking on both the levels will be available. Overflow parking is available in lots P11 and Alumni House. All UTM permits are valid in both locations.

Registration extended for IT@UofT 2024 conference
The IT@UofT 2024 conference is looking for information technology presentations that relate to the theme, Better Together, and align with the streams of this year’s conference:
  • Artificial intelligence 
  • Collaboration and teamwork 
  • Information security 
The conference will take place on the St. George campus May 8 and 9, and is open to all U of T faculty and staff. Register by April 17. Read more

Awards & Honour

Jessica Silver is this year's recipient of the Chancellor’s Leadership Award for Emerging Leader. Since joining UTM in 2014, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership within Student Affairs and Services. As an emerging leader, she has held the position of director of student engagement at the Centre for Student Engagement since 2018. 
She played a pivotal role in launching initiatives like SEE @ UTM, expanding UTM Bridging Pathways, and orchestrating Access Days and inclusion events. Learn more
