Matthew Dale

I'm Matthew Dale, a proud San Leanna resident since the 1990s and a dedicated local business owner, I live on Katy Lane. My mission is to preserve our unique identity as Austin grows around us. I believe in fostering fiscal responsibility and advocating for policies that safeguard our community’s charm and safety. Balancing development with conservation and enhancing local services are paramount to me. I stand for transparent governance and community engagement, aiming to keep San Leanna a distinct, tranquil haven for all its residents. Some things I believe in.

Individual Responsibility:
I believe in the power of the individual to shape their own destiny. Personal responsibility, self-reliance, and accountability are the foundations of a strong society.

Limited Government:
Government overreach stifles individual liberty and economic prosperity. I advocate for a limited government that focuses on essential functions, allowing for maximum personal freedom.

Fiscal Responsibility:
I believe in fiscal responsibility and sustainable spending practices. Taxpayer money must be spent wisely and efficiently, and burdensome debt should be avoided.

Free Markets:
Free markets and open competition are the most effective drivers of economic prosperity and innovation. I support policies that minimize government interference in the economy.

Traditional Values:
I cherish traditional values, including the importance of family, faith, and community. These values provide structure, stability, and a sense of belonging in our society.

Jonathan Fein

Hello. My name is Jonathan Fein. I am running for the position of Alderperson.

My wife, Naomi and I moved to San Leanna ten years ago. We live in the two story house on Circle Drive, with our three dogs and the bear that holds up our mailbox. Naomi and I have seven children and four grandchildren between us.

At the end of 2023, I retired after practicing law for 40 years. During that time I negotiated and drafted numerous contracts and litigated in court many times, as well as having interacted with countless clients, co-counsel, opposing lawyers, court staff and judges.

With my legal skills, and other knowledge, I know I can have a positive influence on San Leanna, as I did, when I suggested to Village Manager Rebecca that the water bills could be sent by email, rather than by mailed postcards. My suggestion was adopted, saving the Village postage and increasing the sustainability of its operations.

Vote for me so I can put my knowledge and experience to work for the Village of San Leanna!

Danny Villarreal

I'm Danny Villarreal and I'm running for re-election to the Village of San Leanna Board of Aldermen. As a resident of San Leanna since 2013, I have been honored to serve our community of 600 residents for the past 6 years as an Alderman, Roads Administrator, Floodplain Administrator, and Mayor Pro Tem.

During my time on the Board, I have worked hard to represent the interests of San Leanna residents. I have made key policy, budget and tax decisions to ensure our village is run responsibly and effectively. As Roads Administrator, I have secured funding and managed improvements to our critical road infrastructure. I have partnered with county, and regional government representatives on behalf of our village.

In addition to my civic service, I bring over 15 years of business leadership experience to the role. In my professional career, I have built and scaled global teams as a Customer Success executive for B2B software companies. I am a strategic thinker and collaborator who knows how to drive results.

San Leanna has been a wonderful home for my wife Tiffany and me since we moved here in 2013. I remain deeply committed to giving back to this special community that has given us so much. I would be grateful for your vote so that I can continue serving San Leanna as your Alderman. Together, we can keep our village a great place to live.

Helen Rockenbaugh

I built my home in San Leanna in 2013.  Previously, I lived in Austin in the Southwood neighborhood for 39 years. I served as first vice president of that neighborhood association for two terms. My focus was on short term rentals and homeless issues.   I was the representative to Austin neighborhood Council.  I met with Mayor Leffingwell and all of the city councilmen. I was chosen to be on the special committee regarding short term rentals where I met with Homeaway, hotel owners, B&B owners and the zoning commissioner to hammer out a policy recommendation for the City to consider.

I have served on the San Leanna Board of Alderman for seven years. I was the Public Affairs Commissioner in charge of parades and events for two terms and am currently serving as Environmental Commissioner. My recent accomplishments have been to get electricity to JP Park. I had the path into park concreted to allow for easier access for wheelchairs and carts.  This month we added mulch to the trees to help with water conservation. I serve as a liaison to the Tree Committee, which I revived.  I facilitated recruiting Cahir Doherty as our new Village Arborist. I organized Arbor Day events and have given out 200+ saplings to be planted by our residents.  I brought disc golf to both parks.  My ongoing responsibility is to care for our parks and the Village trees with the help of our arborist, Cahir and our landscaping crew, Sierra Scapes.

I am proud to announce that San Leanna is now a Tree City USA.

If you are happy with the job I have done and wish for me to continue to serve, I would appreciate your vote.
