THIS Saturday, a private bus tour of St. Louis!
April 20, 10:00 am-noon
Civitas has booked the "More than an Arch" tour through the Missouri History Museum for 32 students to experience together for free this Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 am until noon. The iconic Gateway Arch is an internationally recognized symbol of St. Louis, Missouri; but there is so much more to this vibrant city on the Mississippi River. According to the MO History website, our tour will be "a whirlwind but surprising in-depth trip through as much St. Louis history as we can cram into 2 hours. Route includes historical highlights as well as visits to hidden gems throughout both north and south St. Louis. See off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods such as Carondelet, Dutchtown, Kosciusko, Hyde Park, the Ville, and more!"
We will depart promptly at 10:00 am (so arrive early) from the MO History Museum (map) and return at noon.

2 MUN Sessions this week, 4 next week!
We can't wait to see more great placards this week!
It's a busy week for the middle school program with 2 Model UN Sessions. (The following week we have 4 and we'll share details about those in our next newsletter!) On Tuesday, April 16, we'll be working with Brittany Woods Middle School, Hoech Middle School, and Ritenour Middle School. Delegates have prepared a ton of fantastic resolutions on topics like immigration safety, human trafficking in Guatemala, child abuse in Vietnam, women's education in Somalia, and others.
On Wednesday, April 17 students from St. Raphael the Archangel and John Burroughs will be finding diplomatic solutions to homelessness after natural disasters, building windmills to decrease fossil fuel consumption, sending doctors to Namibia, preventing genocide, and other timely issues.
