What can I say about Central America but WHEW! It was the best of times and, for a few moments, the worst of times. It was fruitful, yet very exhausting.

We kicked it off with four shows in 3 cities in the country of El Salvador. It was incredible working with LION RFC, they are great friends and an incredible ministry that you should definitely check out.

We also partnered with the Global Network of Evangelists in Auhuachapan, where they blanketed the city with the gospel from street corners to schools to churches and then to the main stage.

We left El Salvador on cloud nine and headed to the land of Pura Vida, Costa Rica, only to be stopped at customs and have four of our T-shirt bags confiscated. Four days and five hundred dollars later, we finally retrieved the bags after many hassles. This was not very welcoming.

We ministered four times in different areas of Costa Rica and met some of our most dedicated fans. While we experienced some of our hottest concerts ever there, we also were embraced by the warmth of our diehard fans who hadn’t seen us in almost a decade.

Our final show in the country’s capital was full of over 1800 Christafari fans shouting out and requesting songs for hours.

Our goal was not just to win souls and praise the Lord but to leave them satisfied, which resulted in us performing our longest concert in Christafari’s history.

For three hours and 43 minutes we performed our hearts out as unto the Lord and when we were done, we left nothing on the stage! How did we feel when we left Costa Rica?
Exhausted, but extremely accomplished.

You may have heard us requesting shows in different towns over the last month or so. Guatemala City was definitely one of these requests, and it was very hard to find any church that would welcome us during Holy Week, but we found a small church that met in an underground location in the parking lot of a Walmart in Guatemala City. With less than five days to promote it, we had no idea what to expect in the small club-like environment. Lo and behold, when the doors opened up, over 450 people poured into that room, packing it to the hilt.

Our last concert in Costa Rica may have been the longest concert we’ve ever done, but this was definitely the loudest audience we’ve ever had. The crowd literally drowned out our voices, even with our in-ear air monitors on! We were so blessed by the overwhelming reception in Guatemala City and can’t wait to return.

The next morning at 3:30 AM, after having performed for about three hours the night before, we headed to the airport to fly to the remote city of Flores, Peten. This was a special moment, a homecoming for Dulce Celeste, who recently joined the band at the end of last year. This would galvanize her in our ministry for Latin America and hopefully garner some support from her local church and congregants as well.

Upon arrival in Guatemala, we definitely faced some challenges when we experienced something very similar to Jesus at his birth… There was no room in the Inn! We had to get creative and stay in someone’s house in order to survive the sweltering heat of a city that could get up to 118°F at this time of the year.

We ministered in two cities in the region and were welcomed at the first show by the mayor of the land, who gave us a plaque and fed us some of the best food we had experienced on the entire tour.

After that we ministered in Flores on Easter weekend. It was a challenge celebrating Christ’s resurrection when it seemed like some of our band members were dying! Avion, Iris, and Dulce all got sick in the last few days with Iris even being hospitalized.

Whenever you think of us touring, we strongly encourage you to pray for our health. Going from climate to climate, traveling from city to city, shaking so many hands, and staying in places that may have mold and mildew can rock our immune systems and significantly affect our health.

This was one of those tours that ended on a low note healthwise. Let’s say by the end of the tour, we were exhausted yet blessed by the fruit that we were allowed to see as the Lord used us to bring thousands to Christ in three beautiful nations in Central America.

Now that we’ve been home for a week, we are healthy and recuperating. We are preparing for our upcoming tour of four of the Hawaiian islands in just two weeks. Please pray for this tour as we finalize the last few shows on Oahu.

Also, please pray for our upcoming tour of Asia in June. Lastly, we want to invite you to join our WhatsApp Prayer Warriors Community.

From time to time, when things go crazy or sideways on tour, it’s good to have some fervent advocates praying for us who are in the know of all the drama that we are facing in real time.

There are many things that happened on this last tour that I wish I could share with you, but out of respect for the people, the culture, and the hosts, I will not. The Prayer Warrior Community is the kind of place where you may get some candid play-by-play requests that are not to cause controversy or disrespect to anyone or any place but are simple urgent needs that we are facing.
