Welcome to Mercy Fund!

Mercy Fund Animal Rescue is a 501c3 foster home based rescue. Our mission is to save the lives of animals in need and find safe and loving homes for them. We are dedicated to saving the lives of all animals: sick, injured, and old, as well. Just wanted to give you all an update! Haze’s name was changed to Hades and he is doing amazing in his new home!
I adopted Abbey in Jan 2020 just before Covid. She rules the roost!
Just wanted to let everyone know that Mercy Fund Rescue/Fosters are so very appreciated. We adopted Odie on February 10th. He is so very perfect.
We adopted Oscar from Mercy back in December.
We can’t thank you enough for all the heartfelt work you dedicate to saving animals in this area. We adopted Penny (previously Rumbalina) about 2 months ago and she’s the light of our world now! We wanted to share some photos so you could see your rescue mission success in action. Thank you for bringing this joy to us!
Camille is doing great. We adore her beyond words. She spends the day with my mom while I'm at work looking out the window on her bench or napping on the bed. She loves her walks. She is doing so well sitting to get her harness on and acts like she hasn't seen us in months every time she comes back or we come home from work. She runs the perimeter of the fence many times a day and is a great watch dog. She has to keep all of her toys spread out across the living room and gets annoyed when we move them to vacuum. lol. She has completed her vaccines and needed deworming for hookworms but she is done with that too. I haven't found a mobile groomer yet but bought the clippers and nail dremmel to do it myself until I find someone. She needs baths often. Ha! She is an angel in the tub though. She is my shadow. She is sad when I leave for work but knows the routine and goes right to my son's door to wait for him. When my mom wakes up she runs upstairs to see her. She definitely likes it when we are all home. Just wanted to give you an update and say thank you for allowing us to love Camille!
I think my boy is happy in his new home: still don’t have a name for him yet. We are so in love!
Ulysses (formerly Genya)
Remember Maximus? The blind cat that was thrown from a car? He is now named Plankton.
He is doing great in his adoptive home. This is from his adopted mom: I think it's safe to say Plankton feels comfy and safe here! He LOVES catnip like crazy, and loves to chase toys despite not being able to see. He's even getting up and down from furniture on his own.

Emergency Vet Care Program

The Mercy Fund Emergency Vet Care Program is underway, and we have our first monthly donor! This program will assist people get their animals care at any veterinarian's office for emergency needs or euthanasia. Having the funds on hand and assuring the vet we can pay upfront will save a lot of time and suffering for the animals and their humans. An Interesting fact is that this is the exact way Mercy Animal Rescue was born--we started with an emergency fund. If you are interested in donating to this program either one time or monthly, please message us for information on how to do so. Please know we will help everyone as much as possible with the need, and we will keep everyone up on everyone we help. Records can be supplied to any donor just by asking.

In Memoriam

Renfield
Sims
I adopted Sims in July 2016.  He was the best boy ever.  He stole my heart then stole my bed.  I loved him dearly.  I am writing to let his former foster mom know I had to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge on April 3,2024.  He developed CHF and declined quickly over a few weeks.  His last day, he was spoiled with all the foods he never got to eat topped off with a frosty after having hours outdoors enjoying the sun.  I was blessed he adopted me and am devastated with his loss.  I know Nancy loved him dearly as well since he spent 5 years in foster with her.  He was spoiled and adored these last, almost 8 years.  I treasure the time we had together.  Thank you for letting me adopt such an amazing fellow.

Any amount of food feeds a hungry animal and helps their human as well. Many seniors choose between their food or needed meds and dog or cat food for their animals. With this program, we strive to keep beloved pets in their loving homes and off the streets or in the shelter. Please help us continue this much-needed service to our community.  A heartfelt thank you.
