Parking Regulations for Summer Seasonal Vehicles + Trailers

By sjoski on Mar 28, 2024 12:53 pm

With spring finally here and summer right around the corner, the Village would like to remind residents of the Village of Bellevue Zoning Code parking regulations in place for summer seasonal vehicles and trailers. Starting April 1st, summer seasonal vehicles and trailers (including boats, jet skis, motor homes, campers) are permitted to be parked on a residential driveway or on a (permitted) hard surface located on the side of the home.  No vehicle or trailer can be parked on a grass/dirt/gravel surface outside of the rear yard and any vehicle parked on a driveway shall also be parked so as to not extend into the Village Right-of-Way (generally where the sidewalk exists or would exist if there was one present).

Winter seasonal vehicles and trailers (snowmobiles, etc.) will need to be relocated to an enclosed structure or placed in the rear yard no closer than 5' to a property line as of May 1st.

A maximum of two (2) trailers can be located outside in a permitted location identified above on any lot at any given time throughout the year.

If you have any questions, please contact the Village of Bellevue Community Development Department or refer to §500-1920 of the Village of Bellevue Zoning Ordinance.

Thank you for your cooperation.
