Dragon Boat Racing at Champion Lakes
|
Wednesday 17 to Sunday 21 April | 2024
The Australian National Dragon Boat Championships, known as AusChamps is the premier dragon boat paddling event in Australia. AusChamps will feature elite dragon boat athletes from around Australia, competing in adrenaline-pumping races to the finish line!
Spectators will experience the thrill as teams battle it out on the water for victory and feel the energy as paddles hit the waves and boats glide through the water.
It's not just about the races either! Outstanding performances of Dragon Dancing as well as ancient drumming will signal the excitement of dragon boat racing, mesmerising and dazzling with their artistry. The internationally acclaimed Wadumbah Dance Group will perform Traditional Bibbulmunn Aboriginal dance and music with fun, passion and power!
Experience an exhilarating five days of world-class racing at its best.

Autumn Trails | Settlers Common East
|
Armadale Settlers Common East is a section of jarrah-marri forest in the foothills of the Darling Range that has a understory of a variety of wonderful hills flora. The area is highly important for flora conservation, with a total of 318 plant species found in the Common. It's also home to the Jeerjii Trail, a 1km fully paved, flat circuit which is fully accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. There are multiple opportunities along the trails to stop and rest, both in sheltered and unsheltered picnic areas and detailed historic information signs to find out more about this unique area. Jump in the car and take a short yet scenic drive to a beautiful part of Armadale and visit the Bedfordale Bush Markets, a country-style local market with a different theme each month. Bedfordale Bush Markets features locally grown produce, food vendors, art and crafts, nature play, sustainability, and entertainment.

Roleystone Markets |
Roleystone Markets are nestled in a beautiful bushland landscape environment and feature the best of WA's handmade items. Visit and take in the beautiful spring in Roleystone, where there are over 100 vendors. There will be food trucks to satisfy everyone's appetite. There will be plenty of free activities for the entire family, including bubbles, huge games, face painting, and live music.
