‘More students want to live on campus:’ UTM plans new residence to support student success
The new residence will include 400 beds plus areas for social and educational programs, laundry facilities, a meeting room, a music room, lounge spaces and more. Learn more
Join the Office of the Vice-President and Principalon Wednesday, April 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kaneff Centre, Room 108 and KN 127 for the opening of a temporary Black Student Space to foster community and belonging among Black students on campus and to introduce attendees to crucial campus resources, support services, and relevant student organizations.
By working towards a dedicated space, the university is addressing anti-Black racism, as recommended within the Anti-Black Racism Task Force report, and creating sustainable change that recognizes Black inclusion and excellence. Register here
Make work a family affair
May 2 is Bring Our Children to Work Day at UTM. Faculty, librarians and staff are invited to bring their Grade 5-8 children for a day of activities. In the morning, there will be scheduled speaker sessions, lab visit/tour and gym time, with job shadowing in the afternoon.
