Fundraisers

 

CARL thanks you for participating in our fundraisers!  All donations are entirely used for saving the lives of displaced dogs by providing training, housing, feeding and veterinary costs for the health of the dogs. Each dog is special to CARL!

Sailor & Friends, Ventura, Saturday, April 6th 11:30am - 3:30pm

It was another beautiful day in Ventura at our monthly adoption event at Sailor and
Friends Pet Supply on Main Street. Our fur babies in attendance were Paca, Nellie,
Mando, Patton, Monty, Merle, Mochi and Betty. Our volunteers were our leader Toni,
Sharon, Christina, Kai, Mike, Jonlyn, Jose and Kathy. Little Betty got adopted. Hurray! Mochi was adopted, but unfortunately returned the next day. It seems that the new owner did not realize that dogs need a week or two to adjust to their new environment. There was another potential new owner in attendance that was also interested in Mochi and Nellie. We will see what comes of that. We received $50 in donations. Thank-you to those who donated. Your gifts are always appreciated. We will return to Sailor and Friends Saturday May 4, 2024 from 11:30 to 3:30. We hope to see you there.

Paxton & Mondo, Chunk, Ambassador Baby, Baby

Saturday 4/20 was a very fun and busy day. We had Chunk and his foster Kristen,
Shelbie brought Mondo and Baby and I picked up sweet Paxton from his foster.
Mondo was fascinated with Paxton and enjoyed hanging out with him. Chunk was more relaxed with his foster staying and it worked out that we got to show 4 dogs. Baby loved Shelbie and her treats. We ended up staying another hour since there were so many people enjoying the dogs. There was always a wait for people to go in so we got to speak to a lot of people and pass out cards. A woman dropped by that has recently lost her dog and donated a new muzzle, harness and treats. Thank you to Kristen & Stacy for bringing Chunk and to Shelbie for transporting and the great
pictures she took. Also to Skunkmasters for our lunch tickets. We will be back Sunday May 3rd.

CARL Dogs at Fundraisers

Bellringer Brewing Company Fundraiser & Dog Adoption Event Sunday April 7, 2024
   
Louie, Leche, Baby

Everyday is a beautiful day in Ventura. This was our first 2024 dog adoption event at the Bellringer Brewing Company on Main Street in downtown Ventura. The owners Dan and Emily were so gracious in inviting us to hold an adoption event at their establishment. We had a small group. Our 3 fur babies were Leche, Baby and Louie. Our leader was Toni who brought her lovely great granddaughter Ava, Jose and Kathy. Jonlyn stopped by for a bit. It was nice to put the word out there and there was a lot of foot traffic. Many people showed interest in fostering. Our fur babies behaved beautifully. We received $21 in donations, which is always greatly appreciated.

RescueCon, April 27th, Oxnard, 11-4pm

A  jam-packed one-day event dedicated to celebrating the bond between humans and animals!

The CARL dogs were Bolt, Leche, Odin, Gunner, Lil Moe, Anubis, Brodi and Santi. 
The volunteers were Mary, Rhonda, Tracy, Steve, Yanka, Jean, Patty, Susan, Bree, Tatum and Kai.  Everyone had some interest let’s hope that people fill out applications. We got 100 dollars in donations!
