Hello Dear Community,

It is in the spirit of collaboration that I write you today. The closer we collaborate, the more resilient we become. The more resilient we become, the more equipped we are to sit with polycrisis and work towards a regenerative human presence on earth.

While the world falls apart around us, hope is strengthened by local, regional and trans-continental collaboration. It is beautiful to watch the work of our five independent regions blend and merge into interconnected projects, strengthened by cross-cultural support. Your collaboration, sweat, laughter and tears are the reason our small team continues to adapt, transform, and exist amidst the unraveling.

We hope you enjoy learning more about the collaborative projects weaving their way across this network of networks. We encourage you to find a way to collaborate closely with a project near you. Get radical, get resilient. And if you can, give back and keep this network growing, collaborating and sharing the knowledge needed for, dare I say it, our survival.

In community,
Eva Goldfarb on behalf of the Global Ecovillage Network

The Baston de Vida y Paz (the Talking Stick of Life and Peace) was ceremoniously transitioned from CASA Latina and CASA Mexico to GENOA. Patty and Keala will now be the Guardians of the Baston for GENNA for the next three years. This honor was bestowed under the Derechos de la Madre Tierra - Rights of Mother Earth movement, in memory and dying wish of Alberto El Coyote for the certification of "Sanctuaries of Peace" which guards the protection of Indigenous Peoples Lands and Cultures for the next 50-99 years.

GENNA and CASA Latina seeded further Resilience Education during the Tulum EDE in a cross-regional collaboration and presentation that emerged from the GEN Resilience Project. Yuluka , Keala and Laulin shared the project's process, its learnings and announced the online course “Climate change resilience."

One of the first and oldest surviving ecovillages in central Mexico stands on the brink of a new chapter. GENNA (GEN North America) and CASA Latina (GEN Latin America) are teaming up to support the transition of one of the keystone communities of the global movement.
