Recap of the EPIC MN Star Awards!

What DIDN'T happen at the Minnesota Star Awards?! The entire night was a nostalgic whirlwind complete with Starry the mascot, a pep rally, flash tattoos, a crabby lunch lady, an activities fair, a marching band, a homecoming dance, Dunkaroos, and even a fire drill. We can't thank everyone enough who was involved in this event from the Star Awards Committee to the massive line-up of sponsors and everyone who attended — ILEA - MSP is blown away by your talent, commitment, and energy.
Attendees went all out on outfits and each one of you looked so fly in your academia attire. The room was filled with fashion including a sea of letterman's jackets, plaid skirts, and homecoming dresses.

Join us in congratulating all of the Star Awards Winners! All of the nominees exemplify what excellence means in our industry, and every one of them truly deserves to be recognized. Check out the entire list of nominees and winners at the link below.
The Minnesota Star Awards was executed by Co-Directors Lauren Bohm of Machine Shop and Christie Altendorf of D'amico Catering, two powerhouses in the event industry. These ladies completely knocked it out of the park and made the 20th Annual MN Star Awards one for the (year)books. Thank you for executing an amazing night that allowed us to go back to school, be playful and let loose. High school reunion, anyone??

Thank You to Our Star Awards Sponsors!

The Minnesota Star Awards is entirely supported by a massive amount of extremely generous sponsors. Rental companies, caterers, florists, entertainers, and many more vendors came together as one and worked together to be part of this cohesive celebration. This year, we had 55 local companies on board to collaborate on the Star Awards. Yes, 55!! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of them for their generosity as they allocated extensive time and resources to make this party one for the books. THANK YOU! Meet them all below!

April Program: What Doesn't Kill Us Makes Us Burn Out

"How can we address our personal needs... and still get our work done?" Join us for a discussion of how to identify and combat burnout among event industry professionals.

Burnout can affect people in any profession, but we'll look at the unique ways it manifests for entrepreneurs and event industry professionals. The unpredictable and demanding nature of our work can make it challenging to prioritize ourselves, and simply avoiding stress is not an option!

Join Becca Dilley, an award-winning wedding photographer and Marriage and Family Therapist, for "What Doesn't Kill Us Makes Us Burn Out," a discussion of how we address stress and use our entrepreneurial skills to build a better way forward.
