Meet our Featured BTP Camporee Speaker
Pastor Damian Chandler was born in Toronto Canada and raised on the island of Barbados by his parents Michael and Grace Chandler. His ministry journey started in a small church housed in the basement of his home. With only 9 members, the burden of the ministry fell equally on the shoulders of all, including this 16-year-old teen. At night he could hear the prayers of these humble people rising through the vents into his room. That small church made a large deposit into his spiritual hunger and stands as a turning point in his life and a foundation for his call to ministry.
Realizing the need to add education to this passion, he began training for ministry in 1996 at Oakwood College, in Huntsville, AL where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. He later furthered his preparation by pursuing and attaining a Master of Divinity degree from the Adventist Theological Seminary of Andrews University, in Berrien Springs Michigan.
In 2001 he was appointed Youth Pastor of Emerald City SDA Church in Seattle Washington where he founded Impact Youth Ministries, an urban youth ministry focused on developing teens with a contagious and fearless faith. He returned to Seattle in 2008 and was honored to take leadership at both the Maranatha and Love of Life churches. In 2011, he received and accepted a call to return to Alabama, where he has been humbled to serve as the Associate Pastor of the Madison Mission SDA Church. On January 10th 2015, Damian was installed as the lead pastor of the Capitol City Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sacramento California.

1. Email your conference youth/pathfinder director and provide names, email addresses (and which day the day pass(es) will be needed for) by April 10, 2024. Once CYE receives this information, the day pass tickets will be added to specific clubs accounts for them to purchase. CYE wil need each conference director to send an email with the Club Directors name (or person on the account)/email (that is linked with their account) and the number of Day Passes they are eligible to buy.
These day passes are valid ONLY for ONE day and are not an overnight pass. (Tuesday – Sabbath)

Choir Audition
Hello! We are excited that you would like to audition for the Believe the Promise International Pathfinder Camporee Choir, 2024! Mr. Philip Byrd is the director and will be listening to each audition. Here are a few details to guide you through the process.
- There are two choirs – a virtual choir and a live mass choir. The virtual choir will sing one piece, and the mass choir will sing two pieces. Mass choir participants must audition for both mass choir songs. The audition deadline for both choirs is May 1, 2024.

Rates for hotel rooms in Gillette skyrocketed as volunteers with the International Pathfinder Camporee booked reservations for the event that will be in Gillette from Aug. 5 to 11, and Campbell County Commissioners aren’t happy about that. Read More

Baptismal Challenge
Every Pathfinder club is challenged to come to the Camporee with at least one Pathfinder whom they have studied with and prepared for baptism. Please check out the Bible Study resources that you can use to prepare Pathfinders for baptism.

How It Works
- A Pathfinder completes the Bible Study Challenge by finishing one or more courses of lessons. (See choices below.) For each course completed, they will receive a special edition Bible Study Challenge certificate.
- Any graduate of the challenge who attends the 2024 International Pathfinder Camporee can obtain a unique Bible Study Challenge pin.
- All challenge graduates will receive special recognition on Sabbath during the Camporee!

Master Guide Investiture
Sabbath morning investiture applications will be accepted through August 3, 2024. Only Master Guides will be invested at the Camporee. All investiture applications received prior to June 16, 2024 will receive the commemorative pin and certificate at no cost.
All applications received from June 16 through July 23, 2024 will need to pay $10.00 for their certificate & pin at the AdventSource booth.
All investiture applications received after July 23, 2024 will still be eligible for Investiture while at the Camporee, however, we will only provide a pin and certificate if you request them at the AdventSource booth. The cost will be $12.00.
A certificate and commemorative pin will still be available to you, however. They will be mailed to you after the Camporee is over.
