NIH Grants Process:
A Brief Walk-Through for Beginners

Are you new to working with the NIH grants process? If so, make plans to join your peers as the NIH walks through essential aspects of applying for funding. This event offers participants an opportunity to gain insights into the NIH's organizational structure and how it funds research, finding the right fit for your research (including NIH Notices of Funding - NFOs), the grants process overview, peer review, NIH and applicant institution roles and responsibilities, and resources to help along the way.

This simulive event includes a short recording, followed by a live portion featuring a panel of NIH experts answering questions submitted during registration, as well as additional querues raised during the discussion. More than one hour will be devoted to Q&A with NIH...an opportunity you won't want to miss! Register Now

NIH OITE Mental Health and Well-being of Biomedical Researchers series  The NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE) presents this series with a goal to have an open and honest dialogue focused on mental health and well-being to decrease stigma and explore new tools to support ourselves and others in the biomedical research community. The series is open to all trainees, fellows, and staff at NIH and elsewhere who wish to join this important conversation. 6th Annual Alaska Indigenous Research Program (AKIRP) - May 6-24, 2024 @ Alaska Pacific University, Anchorage. The Alaska Indigenous Research Program (AKIRP) is a collaboration between the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and Alaska Pacific University (APU) to increase capacity for conducting culturally responsive and respectful health research that addresses the unique settings and health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian People.

15th International Conference on Brain Energy Metabolism (ICBEM) - Sept 17-21, 2024 in Ljubljana, Slovenia:  "Brain Bioenergetics in Aging - Neurovascular and Neurometabolic Coupling and Fuels"This conference brings together leading researchers, clinicians, young scientists, and students interested in brain energy metabolism.
