"Living out the Great Commandment to fulfill the Great Commission."

May 1, 2024
As a Title 1 School, Oliver Elementary's state funding is dependent on early registration numbers. Ready Day One is Brook Hills fun way of encouraging families to register for school early through providing carnival games, gift cards, and a chance to win fun prizes for all the Oliver families that attend. All that fun means we need lots of volunteers! 25 more volunteers are needed from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 18th at Oliver Elementary School. This is a great opportunity for your family to serve together. For more information or to sign up, click HERE.
It's Love Oliver Season at Brook Hills! We are half way to meeting our goal of $40,000 to help provide classroom supplies, improve outdoor spaces, trauma-training for teachers and staff, and additional community support for families in need. With just a few weeks left to give, we still need you! To give today or to learn more about our Love Oliver Initiative, click HERE. And keep scrolling to sign up to serve at Oliver or with one of our Love Oliver partners.
In order to have the school looking its best when students and faculty return this fall, Brook Hills is hosting a Work Day at Oliver Elementary School on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 8:00 - 11:00 am. Bring your pressure washers, landscaping tools, and trucks to help us trim bushes, plant flowers, treat ant beds, work on the soccer field, and much more. Don't have any tools? That's okay! We need lots of man power too! Let us know you plan to serve by clicking HERE. And plan to stay from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm for a prayer walk through the school!
ESL TEACHERS, ASSISTANT TEACHERS AND SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE FALL!
Our ESL ministry is starting to plan for the 2024-25 school year, and we need volunteers on both Thursday mornings (classes for women) and Thursday evenings (coed classes) — teachers, assistant teachers, hospitality, children, preschool, teens and security. For more information or to sign up, email Grace HERE.

OAKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS BENEFIT DINNER

Our partners at Oak Tree Ministries are hosting their first annual Oaks of Righteousness Benefit Dinner and Brook Hills is hosting a table! If you are interested in joining us at one of the available seats or in hosting your own table, email Kathy HERE.
Weekly Prayer Focus
This week we are praying for NorthStar Soccer Ministries, a Christ-centered non-profit soccer organization that seeks to introduce the value of sports at inner city schools, while mentoring students and sharing the gospel. We are also praying for New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Thomas Beavers.
