For this year’s Manshine Gathering and our theme “Harvesting the Gifts from Life’s Challenges”, the volunteer Organising Committee is offering an Auction & Cabaret evening with a twist.

As part of the evening, we are first celebrating one of our member’s efforts to record the origin story of the Association. This is a great example of how we as a community, reap the rewards of all of the many individual and collective efforts over the decades. We’re excited to have a listen!

Following this we will alternate musical and talent performances with raising funds for MW through an auction format with our auctioneer Joseph Bonanno! Please read below for the details…

There will be a limited number of auction items and therefore, we seek a combination of personal creations (i.e. famous ‘custom Manshine woodwork’, art and the now infamous ‘vacuum cleaner’) and personal offerings involving your time, talent and/or skills. Upon reflection, we have observed and experienced the special items that have a human element… such as the sharing of time, connection and gifts… like enjoying a special breakfast with elders Robert and Trevor, meeting an Elder for a coffee and enjoying a high quality conversation, or a three-course dinner by our esteemed Manshine chef Zoroah Johnson, have regularly been most popular and valued!
