Cheer On the OKC Memorial Marathon Runners!

The OKC Memorial Marathon is THIS weekend! Come downtown on Friday, April 26, Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28, to cheer on the runners who came from across the state and country.

Head to their website to see the full schedule and list of events, and come be a part of this annual event. Remember and honor the 168 lives lost and all the lives that were forever changed by the tragedy of the OKC Bombing.

FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS- APRIL 25 TO 28

Oklahoma's biggest celebration of the arts is here

April 25-28, head to Bicentennial Park for four days of nonstop entertainment, delicious food, incredible art, children's activities, and so much more at the Festival of the Arts.

This year, 13 different art mediums will be showcased, along with 9 new food vendors. The Festival of the Arts is the best food week of the year. See all the event details on the Art Council's website.

The new Midtown Walkabout date is right around the corner

Midtown Walkabout has been moved to May 4!  Don't worry; we're bringing the same excitement, just with a little more sunshine. Mark your calendars and get ready to groove around Midtown from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Fourth Fridays return next month

Join the West Village District every Fourth Friday(s)  of the month starting May 25 from 6-10 PM for an evening of live music, sidewalk activities, and pop-up markets, and discover what makes this up-and-coming district a place you want to be!

NBA PLAYOFFS - APRIL 24

OKC Thunder's Playoff Central

The OKC Thunder won the first game in the NBA Playoffs, and it was a real nail-biter. Join OKC in supporting our team through playoffs with unique and fun activations the OKC Thunder and downtown have planned.

Wednesday, April 24, from 5-8 PM, head to Scissortail Park for Thunder Up in the Park for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the game and participate in the free activities. And to stay plugged into the community spirit, watch the playoff away games at the Thunder Playoff Patio in Midtown.

SHELTER EXHIBIT OPEN HOUSE - APRIL 25

A new art exhibit opens tomorrow at OK Contemporary

SHELTER by artist Lisa Karrer explores the experiences of displaced people seeking shelter in refugee communities across different parts of the world through oral interviews and video projections displayed within miniature ceramic structures inspired by global refugee camps.

The exhibit opens April 25 with a reception and Artist Talk at 5:30 PM. Come see this new installation before it leaves on January 6, 2025.

Steamroller Print Festival is postponed due to weather

The Steamroller Print Festival by ARTSPACE At Untitled has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 11.

Watch as 200 artists and OKCPS students create prints by a 5-ton steamroller, enjoy hands-on activities, and walk away with free artwork from local artists at OKC's most unique festival.

Temporary Street Closures for Festival of the Arts April 12 - May 6

  • Walker Avenue – Northbound from Colcord Drive to Robert S. Kerr Avenue. Southbound from Robert S. Kerr Avenue to Main Street. The Arts District Garage will be accessible from Walker Avenue and Latting Circle.
  • Lee Avenue: Northbound from Main Street to Couch Drive with alley access. Northbound and southbound lanes from Colcord Drive to Couch Drive.
  • Colcord Drive: Eastbound from Lee Avenue to Walker Avenue.
  • Couch Drive: Westbound from Walker Avenue to Lee Avenue. Eastbound to Hudson Avenue.
  • On-street parking bordering Bicentennial Park will not be accessible while the streets are closed.
