Free copies of the book will be available to students and faculty through the university bookstore starting fall semester.
As a teenager growing up in Camden, New Jersey, Moore experienced violence at the hands of neighborhood teens, who tried, and failed, to set him on fire. “No Ashes in the Fire” is a story of beauty and hope, and an honest reckoning with family, place and what it means to be free. In this memoir, Moore shares his coming-of-age journey as a Black, queer person who not only survived but also found his calling. For more information about the author, visit his website.
