New Property Update

A WORD FROM PASTOR JEFF
We are deeply thankful for how God has provided for our church family!

We are seeing guests become regular attenders, and those individuals are finding their place to serve and be part of our church family.
We are also grateful for all the men and women who have chosen to be part of our new Titus Bible Studies. Nearly 150 adults are involved!
We're excited about the potential for the property next to the church. This property reminds us of God's provision. We are thankful for the additional parking (especially at Easter when we needed it).

We are currently in the process of several important initial steps with the property. Now that the parking space is complete, we are looking to landscape the area. We have hired a landscaper who will begin working when the ground is dry enough for his heavy equipment. He will be planting grass around the parking area, placing large river rocks at the back of the parking area, and planting arborvitae between the parking area and the apartments. His final step will be to get the front from the road to the new parking area ready for our next steps.

We are currently working with a local surveyor who will be surveying both properties so that we can add the newer property to our current church property. Combining properties will allow us to build or add buildings to this new property. This will take several weeks, a lot of paperwork, and communication with the Stark County Auditor's office. The next step is working with the Plain Township planning and zoning department. Once we get through these steps, we will see what the township will allow us to do with the new property. Please keep our pastoral and finance team in your prayers as we take careful steps forward.

Baptism is the very first step in our obedience to Jesus Christ. If you have never been baptized (or have been baptized but possibly didn't fully understand), we invite you to take this step of publicly declaring your faith. The Summit Church will be holding our next baptism on Sunday, May 19 during both worship services. If you'd like to participate, you can read more about baptism online and sign up on our website.
