Happy May, SWE GGS Members!
This month, we have multiple ways you can join us. Vote in the upcoming SWE GGS leadership elections. Hike the Rodeo Beach trail with fellow engineers. Celebrate our scholarship winners at the awards banquet. Place an order for some freshly-minted SWE GGS swag. Finally, we are looking for volunteers for our professional development summit planning committee.

SWE GGS Leadership Elections
Vote in the SWE GGS leadership elections to decide the next set of executive leadership! Here is a bio of all the candidates. You can cast your vote in the ballot here. The electronic ballot will be open until May 15th.
Spring Rodeo Beach Hike
Need a break from the city or simply need an excuse to get out of the house? SWE GGS is taking you to explore the magical views around the Marin Headlands 🌁. Come and join a moderate 5 mile hike 🥾 along Rodeo Beach, Coastal and Miwok Trail. Get your bottle of water and come and sweat with your fellow engineers ⚙️.
You don’t need to do the whole 5 miles, choose your own pace and take your own distance. The adventure 🏞 is yours, we are just here to enjoy it with you 💜. Please register here.

Scholarship Awards Banquet
Come celebrate and meet GGS and SCV 2024 SWE Scholarship Awards recipients. There will be past recipient speakers, good food, and opportunity for networking!

Order SWE GGS Swag
SWE Golden Gate swag is here! We are excited to offer several cute and original SWE GGS designs on shirts, tote bags, and stickers for you to represent our section! For the time being, we will only be offering in person pick up of swag items. Payment will be due by card when you pick up your items. Join the Professional Development Summit Planning Committee!
SWE Golden Gate is planning (2) exciting events for later in 2024: an outreach STEM expo for middle school students to happen in summer and a professional development summit for its members to happen in fall. We are looking for a few interested members to join the planning committees for these event to assist with the ideation and execution of each event. Being part of the planning committee is a low time commitment. We will have meetings every 2 weeks with a minor list of action items to address in between for those that are able. Sign up here.
