Happy April, SWE GGS Members!
SWE GGS leadership application for FY25 closes this Monday. April continues to bring events to get together with peers! Grab coffee with us in a couple of weeks. Join us at the Humane AI Open House in May. Or hike the Rodeo Beach trial with fellow engineers. Place an order for some freshly-minted SWE GGS swag! Finally, we are looking for volunteers for our professional development summit planning committee.

SWE-GGS FY25 Leadership Application
Are you interested in being a part of the FY25 SWE GGS leadership team? Applications are now open!
This year, we will be hosting an election for our two open officer positions: Vice President & Secretary. These will be for a term of 2 years. We are also looking to fill some of our appointed chair positions. Check out a full list of our elected and appointed positions on our website.
Please submit your application by Monday, April 22nd to be considered for a leadership position. To hold a position, you must be a registered SWE member and assigned to the SWE Golden Gate Section. Reach out to swe.goldengate@gmail.com for any questions.

Coffee with SWE GGS
Come meet up with SWE GGS's president and other leadership team members for a casual Sunday cup of coffee! Have questions about getting involved with SWE? Need to pick up your swag items? Love a good cup of coffee and fresh baked bread? Come by and hang with us!

Humane AI Open House and Info Session (only 5 spots left!)
Join us to learn about the startup company Humane and their product, the AI pin! We are excited to participate in an info-session and intimate round table discussion about women's experiences in the tech and engineering industries. The purpose of this event is to foster community, connect with one another, and share experiences. Light refreshments will be served. Register here.

Spring Rodeo Beach Hike
Need a break from the city or simply need an excuse to get out of the house? SWE GGS is taking you to explore the magical views around the Marin Headlands 🌁. Come and join a moderate 5 mile hike 🥾 along Rodeo Beach, Coastal and Miwok Trail. Get your bottle of water and come and sweat with your fellow engineers ⚙️.
You don’t need to do the whole 5 miles, choose your own pace and take your own distance. The adventure 🏞 is yours, we are just here to enjoy it with you 💜. Please register here.

SWE Golden Gate swag is here! We are excited to offer several cute and original SWE GGS designs on shirts, tote bags, and stickers for you to represent our section! For the time being, we will only be offering in person pick up of swag items. Payment will be due by card when you pick up your items. Join the Professional Development Summit Planning Committee!
SWE GGS is planning a professional development summit for its members to happen in Fall 2024. We are looking for a few interested members to join the planning committee for this event to assist with the ideation and execution of the event. Being part of the planning committee is a low time commitment. We will have meetings every 2 weeks with a minor list of action items to address in between for those that are able. Sign up here.
