Marathon runs through campus this Sunday
The 2024 Mississauga  Marathon will take place this Sunday, April 28. Access to UTM campus will be affected between 6:30 and 10 a.m. No vehicles are permitted on the campus roadways during the closure period and Mississauga Road will be closed in both directions. There are also changes to the UTM shuttle bus stop location and MiWay routes. Read more
Go for the gold
UTM now holds a gold rating in the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). A program of The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, STARS is a comprehensive sustainability rating system for colleges and universities that addresses the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. An institution’s STARS score is based on the percentage of applicable points earned in credits across four main categories: academics, engagement, operations and planning and administration. Repairs planned for RAWC entrance
Beginning April 29, the RAWC entrance forecourt (across from parking lot P8) will be closed until early June for concrete repair.
Both the double door entrances into RAWC building will remain open, but
bicycle racks in front of the RAWC will be removed during construction

Psychology research on show in CCT

Check out the final projects by students of Associate Professor Doug VanderLaan and other faculty at Psychology Undergraduate Research Day. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 25 in the CCT Atrium and Link. All are welcome. Registration is not required.

Make work a family affair
May 2 is Bring Our Children to Work Day at UTM. Faculty, librarians and staff are invited to bring their Grade 5-8 children for a day of activities. In the morning, there will be scheduled speaker sessions, lab visit/tour and gym time, with job shadowing in the afternoon.

Bridge rehab may slow traffic around UTM

The City of Mississauga will be performing roadwork near UTM that may impact the commute to campus due to lane reductions. Stage two of bridge rehabilitation construction at Burnhamthorpe Road West, east of Mississauga Road over the Credit River, runs April 29 to July 31. For information, call 3-1-1, (905-615-4311 outside Mississauga) or visit https://www.mississauga.ca/contact-us/.
