JAPANESE COMFORT MEETS SOUTHERN

Monday’s Limited Edition Dinner Series #19 with Chefs Jacob Munnicha and Joel Martin provides an innovative and welcoming menu tailored to make a new food experience more approachable—even for the pickiest of eaters.

The Japanese Comfort Food x Southern menu will include a wide selection of hearty, flavor-packed dishes, including chicken karaage (large pieces of boneless chicken thigh marinated for 24 hours and breaded with potato starch), teba (chicken wings), and chicken nanban (boneless chicken breast tossed in tare and topped with tartar sauce). Every piece of chicken is marinated for 24 hours, giving entrees an irresistible and unique combination of soy, garlic, and ginger-based flavors. A delicious alternative protein option will be Tori’s perfectly flaky catfish wrapped in crispy house panko breading. For foodies like us who want to try a little of everything, check out the karaage set featuring boneless chicken thigh nuggets, spam musubi, rice and curry, and your choice of 5 different signature Tori sauces.

The side dishes and desserts are not to be overlooked at this meal. Accompanying the mains will be a elbow macaroni salad made with yuzu aioli and veggie furikake, Tori’s signature honey mochi biscuits, and a Japanese curry and rice made with a special house spice blend and fresh chopped veggies.

Melon Pudding reminiscent of the South’s favorite dessert Banana Pudding will join warm, fresh Strawberry Mochi Biscuits lovingly baked with real fruit and drizzled with a glossy strawberry glaze for dessert.
