CELEBRATE EARTH

DAY!

Please remind your students to recycle their lunch time pouches and old pens, pencils, and markers! The recycle boxes for the markers are in the front of the school right by the main office. The pouch bins are in the cafeteria!

Parents can bring these items into the school for recycling too! 

 

POUCHES

ANY BRAND pouches can be placed into bins. Collected pouches will be sent to Terra Cycle for recycling with cash for the school in return.

 

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

We accept Highlighters, Markers and caps, Mechanical Pencils, Permanent Markers and caps, Pens and pen caps.
Once the box is full, it will be shipped back to the company and recycled.

The Green Foxes and O'Hara PTO invite you to help the Blawnox Community build their Community Garden!


Weather permitting, they are planning on filling new garden beds on Saturday, April 27th starting at noon. They will continue to work weekends until the beds are completed.

Please contact Carol Hillwig, Garden Coordinator at rchillwig@hotmail.com if you are interested in helping out!

Attention CURRENT

KINDERGARTEN families

 

All current Kindergarten students will have an early dismissal at 11am on this "Discover Kindergarten" day, May 3. NO BUSSES will be running for this Kindergarten early dismissal. Please fill out the ofrm below (if you haven't already) to indicate whether you plan to pick up via car or walker for that morning dismissal.

ATTENTION 5th grade parents! Please see the following TWO announcements to help celebrate your child's time at O'Hara!!

5th Grade Memory Book

As an O’Hara tradition, your student(s) will be making a page in computer science class to create an O’Hara 5th grade memory book. Please choose one of the following options for photo submission:

1. Login with a Google Account and upload the photo to this Google Form

2. Use your child’s existing 2023-2024 School Photo

3. Email the photo to kayla_walnoha@fcasd.edu with the subject Last_First Photo Submission


The photo should be recent (within the last year), clear, and only of your child (nobody else). 

If you wish to use your child’s school photo in place of submitting one, please select that option on the Google Form. 

If you wish for your child to not be pictured, please select that option on the Google Form or email to let me know.

 

Thanks for your help with the creation of the memory book!

The 5th Grade Day committee is hard at work planning a slideshow highlighting memories of our kids from over the years. Our goal is to have multiple pictures of each and every student in the presentation. We are asking that you submit at least one (but more are better) photo of your child as a baby .

Please note that this link is different from the link sent for the yearbook request. If you have any questions, or would prefer to email the pictures, you can send them directly to melinda.burdette@gmail.com.

*There are two folders, one for baby pictures, and one for all others/group pictures. Pictures uploaded should have the child’s name in the file name.
