Knuckles

Premier oversaw all aspects of production and post-production for the Global Junket for Paramount+ series Knuckles. The series stars Idris Elba, who attended the Junket along with cast and crew including Adam Pally, Kid Cudi, and Rory McCann. The Premier creative team also provided specialist crews for outlets attending including E! and Good Morning Britain.

Johnson & Knopfler’s Music Legends

Premier welcomed music royalty to London this week when AC/DC’s Brian Johnson and Dire Straits legend Mark Knopfler joined forces to celebrate the launch of their new Sky Arts series, Johnson & Knopfler’s Music Legends. Premier executed an exclusive press screening of episode one, with Broadcaster and Journalist Mariella Frostrup hosting a Q&A with the two legends, who shared stories and experiences from their remarkable careers to a full house.

The BBC Music Magazine Awards

Premier celebrated wins for its recording label clients at the BBC Music Magazine Awards, an annual celebration of the very best of all the recordings reviewed by the world’s best-selling classical music magazine over the past year. The Calidore String Quartet, who won the Chamber Award for their recording of Beethoven: The Late Quartets on Signum Records, made the journey over from the US to collect the Award in-person and perform one of Beethoven’s final works at the ceremony. Star countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński won the Vocal Award for his album Beyond on Warner Classics/Erato, an exploration of music by early baroque composers which included no less than ten world premiere recordings.

The Creative Cities Convention

The Creative Cities Convention have entrusted Premier with leading the PR strategy for this year’s event. Visiting a different city each year, The Creative Cities Convention stands as the leading annual meeting place for film, TV, and digital content creators outside London, supported by BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 / Paramount, and PACT. Next week, the event is in Bristol, where Premier have delivered a comprehensive suite of services in the lead up to the convention, engaging regional, national, and trade press, liaising with stakeholders, and issuing press announcements. Premier will be on the ground during the two-day event, facilitating media liaison and distributing news updates.

The Edinburgh Science Festival

Edinburgh Science Festival drew its 35th anniversary edition to a close last weekend and announced its new Director, Hassun El-Zafar, and dates for the 2025 Festival. Premier Scotland handled PR for the festival, which is the UK’s largest science festival.

MCV Develop Awards

Premier is proud to have picked up two nominations for the prestigious MCV Develop Awards, which each year celebrates the very best of the games industry. Premier is nominated for Media Campaign of the Year for our work on The Sims 4 for EA and Dead Island 2 for Plaion.

Personal PR Update

This week has seen the successful release of the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black starring Premier personal PR clients Jack O’Connell and Eddie Marsan. The film has led the UK and Ireland box office with a £2.7m debut. Client Gillian Anderson’s Scoop has stayed in the top 3 films on Netflix since release earlier this month and in the last week alone has garnered 8.5 million views. Lastly, this coming week, Alex Pettyfer’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare releases in cinemas.
