UCAS Improvements for 2025 cycle
& Adviser Guide 2025
UCAS list of improvements
One improvement of note is the centre management system will show the resubmission date of a UCAS application form. When a student has their form returned, deals with any errors and issues and then resubmits: this date is now listed automatically. Now a student and parent can be shown that a form might have been submitted on a particular date but it was returned and then resubmitted. The resubmission date is the one that is key to any sense of turnaround for processing, not the original submission date
. This is a welcome improvement.

Blue Zones
Maybe store for later in the term when working on staying healthy with Year 12?

Powerpoint created by Stephen Thomas, NetSixthForm Resources Editor, all about Blue Zones - 5 areas of the world where a disproportionate number of people survive to 100 years. What are the key elements associated with increased longevity and what can students learn from Blue Zones that might help them lead a more healthy lifestyle?
WHAT DOES RESEARCH TELL US ABOUT IMPROVING STUDENT ATTENDANCE?
Attendance is an issue in many schools. So much so, Ofsted published a feature in their blog late last year.

ImpactEd have researched and worked with schools to help drive up attendance so we have booked them for a keynote session at the in-person conference on 28 June in London. More focus on sanctions, the research shows, is not the answer: so what are schools doing that seems to have an impact?
UCAS Briefing for 2025 Cycle
For the summer heads of sixth form online conference on 21 June, we have booked Sam Sykes, UCAS, who many of you will know, to deliver a key update for sixth form leaders at the online conference Friday 21 June.

This will be recorded and available for your tutor team so it's easy to keep tutors updated. 20+ more sessions all recorded.

FREE EXTRA ONLINE PLACE
Anyone booking the online conference with a discounted netsixthform resources subscription will get a free extra delegate to the online event from your centre. Go to conference page for the offer.
