Senior Party Online Silent Auction Extended Until April 28th!
Some great items have sold already, but there’s still time to bid on several items, including baskets for coffee connoisseurs, chocolate lovers, grill masters, fitness fanatics, entertainment packages like a day at the MN Zoo and Twins game, and a vacation in the Black Hills & more!

Senior Poster Information - An RHS Irish Tradition!
Two ways to get your senior poster:
- Cornerstone Copy provides an easy way to upload photos using an RHS-themed template. Due date for placing Cornerstone Copy poster order: May 23, 2024 at 3pm. Download the directions for submitting your senior poster here: https://2024rhsseniors.weebly.com/senior-stuff.html 
- Make your own! Feel free to create your own using pictures on poster boards. Due date for dropping off your own: May 28, 2024 at 7pm

Seniors: If you are enlisted in any branch of the military to serve our Country upon graduation, please contact Ms. Heieie in the College/Career Center. This also includes ROTC or military academy. Stop by or email her at: lynn.heieie@district196.org.

School Meal Information
In March 2023, the Minnesota Free School Meals bill was signed into law. This provides all students in District 196 one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no charge.
 
A la carte items including snacks, beverages, and second entrees, are available to purchase in our schools. Students who wish to purchase a la carte items must have a positive balance in their Nutrition Services account.

CAREER CENTER - COLLEGE AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Service Academy Information Night. Wed. 5/8/24 at Prior Lake Twin Oaks Middle School Auditorium. 6:30-8:30 pm. Open to all. Reps from the 4 academies will speak. Info on application process, nomination and academy life.

Aviation Residential Summer Camp Opportunity. MN ACE Camp allows exploration of many aviation careers through hands on experiences. 6/16-6/21 or 6/23-6/28. More information at: www.mnacecamp.org.

South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers many STEM summer day camps for current 8th-12 graders. Immersive pre-college faculty-led experience in subjects like Biomedical engineering, programming, robotics, geology etc. More info at: https://www.sdsmt.edu/SummerCamps/

The Southview Elementary PTO Scholarship application is now available on Naviance. Must have attended SVES for 2 years. $1000. Due 4/22/24.

The LCpl Dale W. Means Scholarship application is now available on Naviance. 5-$1000 awards. See application for specific requirements. Due 5/1/24.

The Westview Elementary PTO Scholarship application is now available on Naviance. $1000. Must have attended WV at least 2 years. Due 5/3/24.

The Kristi Lockrem Memorial Scholarship application sponsored by Easter Lutheran Church is now available on Naviance. Up to $850. For students with developmental disabilities who are pursuing post secondary education. Due 5/15/24.

The Apple Valley American Legion Auxiliary Post 1776 Scholarship application is now available on Naviance. 3-$1000 awards to children or grandchildren of legion members (unit, post or sons of the American Legion). Due 5/15/24

Jim's TEAM 4 Diabetes Scholarship application is now available. $500. Senior with Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. More information and application on Naviance. Due 5/17/24.

The Minnesota School Counselor Assoc. Scholarship (MSCA) is now available on Naviance. $500. Due 5/24/24.

The MN Constructions Assoc. (MCA) Scholarship app is now available. Students in 4 year program or tech/trade school program. Min. $1000. Due 5/31/24. Info and Apply at: https://mnconstruction.org/scholarship/

The MN Chapter of Women in Public Finance Scholarship application is now available on Naviance. $5000/varies. Due 6/1/24

A list of COLLEGE VISITS can be found on Naviance Student.  To view the list and to REGISTER to attend a visit…log in to Naviance Student.  Go to Colleges>Research Colleges>College Visits.  Click on “Register Now” in order to attend.  You may then stop by the College/Career Center to obtain a pass to attend.  Space will be limited so registration is required.         
 
COLLEGE VISITS:


Athletics
The varsity Girls Golf team placed 8th of 16 teams Friday at Lake City, shooting a 396 in the cold/wind.
Lauren Veness, playing in her 1st varsity match, made a hole-in-one on the 102 yd 7th hole at Lake City GC on her first swing of the day.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: We will be having a PLAYERS ONLY meeting on Thursday, April 25th at 7:10 am in Lecture Room 228 at Rosemount High School. The meeting will be done by 7:30 am. This meeting is for all current 8th - 11th graders who are interested in playing girls basketball at RHS! GO IRISH
