This month we announce some new dates for our popular Active Ostomates virtual classes, Our Stoma 101 series looks at skin care, we look forward to summer and share our travel resources with you, and there's also an opportunity to win £25,000 and support us through the Unity Lottery.

We're delighted to reveal that our free Active Ostomates:at Home virtual classes are returning next month!
The popular rage of classes which include Zumba, Pilates, Mindfulness & Meditation, Yoga, and Chair Yoga were all developed especially for people with a stoma, focusing on strengthening your core and getting your body moving again.
Delivered by our friendly team of instructors Sophie, Heather, Francesca, and Lisa, not only do they help keep you fit, but are also a great community to be a part of.

We're recruiting for a Clinical Trustee!
Want to part of a fabulous charity who exist to make a positive difference for anyone impacted by any kind of stoma or stoma surgery. We want to live in a world where having a stoma presents no obstacles or barriers and carries no stigma.
Do you have substantial background as Stoma Care Nurse, Colorectal Nurse, or a Surgeon.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about improving the life of people with a stoma.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of current developments
in stoma and colorectal management, NHS changes and challenges faced by people with a stoma.
- A willingness and able to dedicate time and effort to fulfil trustee responsibilities.
Time commitment - Up to 50 hours a year

Good skin care is a crucial part of any stoma care routine. It will help maintain healthy skin around your stoma and assist in successful stoma bag adhesion. Broken, red or sore skin may increase the risk of leakage.

The realities of undergoing stoma surgery and living with a stoma are often unbeknownst to the individual. This was the case for Lauren, who's bowel was close to perforation after childbirth. The widespread lack of awareness for stomas in society can make this already challenging journey harder for the person.

With the weather (sort of) heading towards Summer, you're bound to be starting to think about that well deserved sunshine break.
