Each of our employees fill important roles in ministry within their local community and the greater conference, so it’s always hard when members of our Oregon Conference team are called to service somewhere else. It has been doubly hard this year, so far, as we have had to say goodbye far too many times. Some have taken calls to other conferences, others have chosen to retire, and still others have been part of the strategic reduction in our workforce that was announced earlier this spring as part of the response to the need for financial restructuring. Join Upper Columbia Conference for our annual camp meeting at Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, Washington from June 19-22. Ty Gibson, co-director of Light Bearers and pastor of Storyline Adventist Church in Eugene, Oregon; Ben Orian, media director for Arkansas-Louisiana Conference; and David Jamieson, president of UCC, will serve as main speakers. All church members are invited to attend the town hall meetings this spring. These meetings will be your chance to interact with conference administration, ask questions, and share your perspective. The Central Oregon town hall meeting will be held at Bend Adventist Church on Wednesday, May 14, 7:00 PM. Bend Adventist Church is located at 21610 NE Butler Market Rd, Bend, OR 97701.
