BTP Track and Field Event

Introduction

A dynamic and engaging three-day Believe the Promise track and field event will be held August 7-9, 2024 (Wednesday-Friday) for Pathfinders ages 13-14 and 15-16. The event will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, with a focus on inclusivity, fair competition, and an exciting lineup of events.

Event Structure

·       Age Groups: The event will be divided into two age groups: 13-14 and 15-16.

·       Participant Limit: The first 150 registrants will be accepted for each age group, with an emphasis on equal participation from both boys and girls.

·       Timing Criteria: The best times will be selected for a run-off to determine the finalists. In the absence of timing, the first 200 registrants will compete, with the top 3 from each heat advancing to a run-off and final.

·       Events: 60m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, long Jump, shot put, and a 4 × 200m relay (to be held exclusively on the championship day).

Event Schedule

·       Wednesday, August 7:      13-14 year-olds

·       Thursday, August 8:           15-16 year-olds

·       Friday, August 9:               Pathfinder Olympics - Championship day for both age groups

  • Are you proficient in video editing or experienced in video production? We need your expertise to capture the spirit of Camporee on film. Join us in creating dynamic and engaging video content that will be shared with Pathfinders nationwide.
📝 Writers | Blog | Newspaper:
  • Do you have a way with words? We're looking for talented writers who can craft compelling stories, articles, and captions for our Camporee newspaper. Your words will help paint a vivid picture of the Camporee experience for all to enjoy.
📸 Photographers:
  • Are you an experienced photographer with a passion for capturing moments? We're seeking skilled individuals to join our photography team and help document the magic of the BTP Camporee. Bring your own equipment and be ready to capture unforgettable memories!
🎤 Interviewers:
  • Are you comfortable engaging with people and asking thought-provoking questions? Join our team of interviewers as we capture the voices and stories of Camporee participants, organizers, and guests. Your interviews will add depth and insight to our media coverage.
📱 Social Media Content Creators:
  • Are you skilled with social media platforms? We need creative minds to curate engaging content for our social media channels. From Instagram stories to Facebook posts, your content will help us connect with the Pathfinders and their village at home, before, during, and after the Camporee.
