Food Allergy Awareness

During the second full week of May each year, we focus on Food Allergy Awareness. In the United States, food allergies affect 20 million people and their families. Even though many new treatments are being developed, there is no cure. The emotional, social, and financial impact of food allergies on the people living with them is significant.

To help raise food allergy awareness this week, use our food allergy awareness toolkit and food allergy fact sheet to share information with your circle.

Remembrance Day

Each year during National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and KFA hold a Remembrance Day in memory of family members and loved ones who have passed from asthma or anaphylaxis. On this day, we reflect on the stories of those we lost and recommit to our mission to save and improve the lives of people with asthma and allergies.

If you have lost a loved one too soon from asthma or anaphylaxis, we invite you to honor them during AAFA's Remembrance Day on May 24. Share your loved one’s personal story and photo to info@aafa.org by May 15.

Donate to support people living with asthma and allergies.
Your gift to AAFA helps us raise awareness about food allergies and asthma and helps us advocate for policies to save lives.

Donate $40 today in celebration of the 40th year of National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month!

Thank you for your continued support.
