Message from Dean Lisa Kitko to honor National Nurses Week, May 6-12.
Dear Alumni,
As we embrace the spirit of National Nurses Week May 6-12, I wanted to take a moment to extend my gratitude and appreciation to each of you for your dedication and commitment to nursing.
Having spent over three decades in nursing, I've had the privilege of witnessing the incredible impact our community makes, from the bedside to the forefront of research. Now, as a leader of our University of Rochester nursing community, I am continuously inspired by the passion and commitment of our students, faculty, alumni, and partners. Your efforts truly make a world of difference in the lives of countless individuals and communities.
Given the pressing need to address burnout among health care professionals, this discussion will focus on practical strategies to support your well-being and work-life balance and how we can amplify these principles across the larger Rochester community and beyond to ensure that everyone can experience health harmony.
