Here at LA2050, our grantmaking depends on input from Angelenos who are invested in their communities – just like you!
We’re giving $1 million in grant funding to organizations with solutions to the 10 most pressing issues in LA, as selected by voters. With almost one week left to vote, there's still time to make sure the issues that matter most to you make the top 10!
Let's check in on the results so far...
* Voters can select up to two issue areas in each category.
Voting is live through Wednesday, May 8th at 11:59 pm. It's open to all ages, available in 12 languages, and takes less than five minutes.
THAT'S NOT ALL! In addition to the $1 million in funding determined by voters, our funding partners will be contributing more than $1 million. Stay tuned for more.
On Wednesday, May 15th, we'll announce the final voting results and open grant applications to organizations with solutions to the top-voted issue areas. Mark your calendars, and start preparing by reviewing answers to some of our most common questions.
Q: Is my organization eligible to apply for funding through the LA2050 Grants Challenge?
A: We accept applications from registered non-profit, for-profit, fiscally-sponsored, or governmental organizations serving Los Angeles County and its residents. We are looking for innovative ideas, with potential to scale and transform Los Angeles.
Q: How does LA2050 define “LA”?
A: When we say LA, we are referring to Los Angeles County. Your submission may serve the broader county or zero in on a particular neighborhood, community, city, or region. It’s up to you!
Q: What if our organization's work impacts more than one issue area?
A: On the application, you will select a primary issue area from those available for funding this year. Then, you will also have the opportunity to indicate any secondary issue areas that your work impacts. Our evaluators will review your submission across all of the issue areas selected.
