It's time to mow!

What a relief the rain has been, but now it is time to mow!

Many homes and lots throughout the Village have very tall grass and weeds as a result of the rain over the last few weeks. Please take some time as soon as it is dry to attend to overgrown properties.

Please contact the office with any questions or concerns.

Mowing Ordinance Update

On April 23, 2024, the Village of San Leanna Board of Aldermen passed Ordinance No. 24-003, known as the Public Health, Sanitation, and Vegetation Maintenance Ordinance.  Much of the information included in the ordinance reflects long-existing regulations in San Leanna related to the sanitary maintenance of private properties

The Public Health, Sanitation, and Vegetation Maintenance Ordinance will be available for review in full on our ordinance page this afternoon.  sanleannatx.com/ordinances

The most significant change to this ordinance is the requirement of property owners to maintain the right-of-way around their home to the same standard as the lawn, with the exception of the rear right-of-way when it is separated by a fence and abuts a public road.

If you have questions about how this changes maintenance requirements around your particular lot, please do not hesitate to reach out! Please have patience with neighbors, as this updated ordinance is likely to include some adjustment time.

Please review the following excerpts to ensure current maintenance practices are in line with the Public Health, Sanitation, and Vegetation Maintenance Ordinance.

Be advised - as was the case previously - failure to adhere to the Public Health, Sanitation, and Vegetation Maintenance Ordinance after proper notice is given will result in maintenance operations being performed by the Village of San Leanna. Costs associated with such maintenance operations will be billed  and filed with Travis County as a lien on the property.

The Burn Ban is NOT in Effect
