Heat from servers to keep university students warm

The university plans to install a heat pump which will take the excess warm air from the servers and use it to help heat the building. It has received about £2.1m from a Scottish government fund for decarbonising public buildings. Read more.

Heat networks are investment opportunity ‘worth billions’ - Vattenfall boss

Swedish state-owned firm Vattenfall said it was looking to invest more than £1 billion in the infrastructure needed to deliver heat networks in five to eight cities in the UK by 2030.
