The SEMDEX declined 0.4% to close at 2146.65 points, dragged by heavy declines in NMH & ALTEO and a drop in heavyweight MCBG.
MCBG fell 0.1% to MUR 388.50 on 44.5% shares traded, accounting for 57% of TMT. Hotelier NMH plunged 9.1% to MUR 10.00, topping the losers list, followed by ALTEO which sank 5.0% to MUR 10.45.
Others stocks which weighed on the index were CIM (closed unchanged with respect to its ex-div price at MUR 10.35) and ENL (closed at MUR 19.95, 2.1% higher than its ex-div price at MUR 19.55).
Foreign investors were slight net buyers, totalling MUR 2.1m in purchases and MUR 1.8m in sales.
