June Activities Planned at Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site
Fort Abercrombie, N.D. – Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site near Fargo is hosting free family-friendly activities in June to promote learning and fun for adults and children.
June 2, Fort Abercrombie Sunday History Program, 2-3 p.m. Join North Dakota State University Special Collection Archivist Wyatt Atchley for a presentation on Germans from Russia in North Dakota.
June 9, Fort Abercrombie Sunday History Program, 2-3 p.m. Learn about the history of the Milwaukee Railroad presented by staff member Alan Fricker.
June 16, Fort Abercrombie Sunday History Program, 2-3 p.m. Explore the history of music and dance of the 1800s presented by staff member Alexa Klein.
June 23, Concert at the Fort, 2-3:30 p.m. Spend the afternoon listening to Fladland Band and socialize with friends, old and new. The event is sponsored by Friends of Fort Abercrombie.
Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site, managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, is located at 935 Broadway North, Abercrombie. Summer hours are daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with guided tours available. Admission is $8 for adults and $3 for youth.
