1. Call for facilitators: Underrepresented in STEM

The IMSSA is looking for community and student leaders to guide students in productive, nonjudgmental conversations about how their identities interact with their academic careers in an EDI context.

2. U of T Family Pride Parade

Fri June 7

The Family Care Office

invites allies & 2SLGBTQ+ families to gather on during the upcoming PA Day for a colourful and festive stroll to the U of T Community Pride at Hart House.

The event will include activities such as bubble fun and face painting. Family-friendly activities will be available from 4:30 – 7 pm, while the Community Pride event continues into the late evening.

3. Bootcamp Brunch for Black Residents

Mon June 10 (closing date)

The Black Resident Physicians of Ontario (BRPO) is hosting a PGY1 Bootcamp Brunch for Black and underrepresented groups beginning residency this July.

Navigate resources and supports from residents and attending physicians in family medicine, internal subspecialties, and surgical specialties.

4. U of T Talks: Embracing the Journey

The Institute of Medical Studies UofT Talks is hosting their annual educational conference focusing on ‘Embracing the Journey: Sick, Elderly and those at the End of Life.’

Come together to explore compassion, support, and empowerment in these crucial stages of life.

5. Display Your Pride

The University of Toronto Positive Space Committees, with the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office, will be holding a fun and friendly contest for this year's Display Your Pride event.

Submit photos of your department, office, team, or colleagues for a chance at group prizes!

Shavuot

June 11 - June 13

The holiday originally began as an agricultural festival to celebrate the beginning of the barley harvest but has evolved to also commemorate the giving of the Torah.

Eid Al-Adha

June 16 - June 20

The holiday honours the Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah and marks the end of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia and one of the five pillars of Islam.
