ARPA-H LIGHT Limited Submission Opportunity
The Lymphatic Imaging, Genomics and Phenotyping Technologies (LIGHT) program seeks comprehensive diagnostic solutions across three technical areas: diagnosis and monitoring through biomarker discovery; imaging technologies; and prevention, prediction, and diagnostic confirmation through genetics, epigenetics, and models of lymphatic dysfunction. If successful, LIGHT will not only illuminate the unseen aspects of the lymphatic system through novel diagnostic approaches, but also significantly improve patient care and outcomes by gaining a deeper understanding of its critical role in health.
LIGHT is limited to one U-M application . Please indicate your intent to submit by June 3.

NIH Women's Health Research
Following the White House’s Executive Order on Advancing Women's Health Research and Innovation, NIH issued a Notice of Special Interest that outlines several current and future health research initiatives with a specific impact on women's health. Federal agencies (NSF, DOD, others) are expected to release funding opportunities in areas tangential to women's health. Researchers can review the NIH list and consider research that may fall within any of these initiatives.

Faculty Honorifics Office
The Faculty Honorifics Office seeks to bolster recognition for U-M researchers by increasing the number, diversity, and quality of external honorific awards nominations. The Faculty Honorifics Office serves faculty in all U-M schools and colleges by:
- Creating an equitable process for public, university-wide calls for nomination to high-prestige, transdisciplinary, invited or limited submission honorifics administered by OVPR.
- Supporting unit- and department-level nomination processes with better analytics and logistical support, reducing the burden on nominators and nominees while increasing the number, diversity, and quality of faculty nominations.
- Convening a community of practice to increase communication, share resources, and promote best practices among faculty and staff working on nominations in units and departments across campus.
If you would like to talk about your unit’s nomination practices, analysis of top awards in your field, or strategies for individual faculty members, please contact honorifics@umich.edu.
