The SEMDEX slipped 0.2% to close at 2173.13 points, pressured by losses across various sectors.
Consumer finance stock CIM sank 3.7% to MUR 10.50, and construction stock GAMMA plummeted 2.9% to MUR 33.60. MEDINE plunged 3.3% to MUR 58.00, NMH conceded 1.8% to MUR 11.20, TERRA drifted downward 1.5% to MUR 19.90, and insurance stock MUA slipped 0.7% to MUR 70.75.
Bucking the trend, banking stocks rebounded with MCBG augmenting 0.1% to MUR 390.25 and SBMH rising 0.7% to MUR 4.64. ROGERS also gained 2.1% to MUR 33.50.
Conglomerate ENL (MUR 12.4m value traded) and MCBG (MUR 6.1m value traded) were the most actively traded stocks today. Foreign investors were net sellers, focusing on shares of SBMH, MCBG, CIEL and ENL.
