Dear Friends,
Some of you may know that a part of my morning ritual is a reading from the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. It may be a few pages..., or it may be only a few lines.

What is particularly remarkable to me about Aurelius is that one does not need a philosophical text to understand what he writes about. 1900 years after his birth, his words are as fresh and full of meaning in the 21st Century, as if he penned them just yesterday.
Let's get started.

Surgery is not always the answer. Indeed, experienced surgeons will almost always start with conservative treatment to avoid surgery. Non-Surgical patients should ALWAYS get the opportunity to tell their story, and should receive a proper workup and healthy recommendations.
Observation and frequent follow-up can improve compliance with conservative treatments. In my practice, less than 10% of patients initially seen are considered to be surgical candidates. One of my core beliefs is that educated patients do better. They approach treatment realistically, they recover better, and their long-term outcomes are better.

Patient Notes Videos are for medical professionals and patients alike.

This publication is unique in that the ONLY way to be included is via nomination by your medical peers and then review by an Editorial Board composed of doctors and experts.

I freely admit that I'm on a mission to find the funding that will help Trenton Youth Wrestling & Learning Center to fulfill its goals to provide opportunity, guidance, and support to Trenton boys and girls through the inspirational power of wrestling.
Meet Najay, and learn about his experience with the TYW program, and hear his advice for young wrestlers. After that you can visit Trenton Youth Wrestling to learn more.

Although my father is no longer with us, there is rarely a day when he doesn't enter into my thoughts. Those of you who have heard me speak may recall that he often finds his way into my presentations on Cognitive Dominance. He also bears much of the responsibility for gifting me with a love of books.
As I reflected on Dad's impact on my life on this Father's Day Weekend, I realized that I would like to share this article from my website. It's both a book review and a remembrance. If you take a few minutes to read it, I hope that you will consider acquiring this terrific book by Andy Andrews, You'll also learn a bit about how my love of books came about, and a little bit about how my habit of gifting books came to be. I invite you to have a look and let me know what you think.
