New Art & Solo Mode for Blade Runner RPG: Replicant Rebellion – Two Days Left of the Kickstarter!

One Stretch Goals Remains
Just two days remain of the hit Kickstarter for Replicant Rebellion & Asset Pack, two major expansions to the award-winning BLADE RUNNER The Roleplaying Game.

Seven stretch goals have already been unlocked, including, bonus scenarios, extra maps, bonus archetypes, cardboard standees, and more. Just one stretch goal remains – the hotly sought after solo mode, allowing players to walk the mean neon-noir streets alone, without the need for a Gamemaster.

Today, we can also reveal a host of new art from the Replicant Rebellion book by the wildly talented Eren Arik – check out the art and spreads below (all work in progress).

In the neon-noir city of dazzling lights and moral contradictions, Replicant Rebellion flips the famous script of the beloved Blade Runner universe. It’s you on the streets, wrestling with the hypocrisies of the justice system, the razor’s edge between reform and revenge, and the burdens of having too much to lose for a cause sacrificing it all. Yet regardless the price, the Rebellion must live on.

All backers will get early access to the PDF versions of Replicant Rebellion and the Blade Runner RPG Asset Pack long before the official release.

THE REBELLION

The streets are teeming with Blade Runners, attacking from every angle, even from within. Wallace Corp has LA under its private microscope, scalpel at the ready. The city is reeling from the return of Replicants just a year ago, and one controversy could spark an anti-Replicant brushfire, rallying the seething mobs into an outright civil war with humans and Nexus on both sides.

You are a member of the Replicant Underground, a decentralized network of independent rebels dismantling the machine one cog at a time. The Underground is everyone and no one. Human and Replicant. Soldiers, smugglers, street rats, senators, and saboteurs. Grizzled vets, off-grid ghosts, even a few born yesterday. Quite literally.

So, get ready to maintain your cover story as you conspire, reconnoiter, and sabotage throughout the city, unheard and unseen. Grapple with the cops, courts, and megacorps while keeping your record clean, so you can hit them where it hurts, then disappear without a trace. All in pursuit of miracles and a better future you’ll likely never see. Few ever know if they even made a dent in the grand scheme of things. But then again, who does?
Replicant Rebellion expands the scope of the acclaimed tabletop RPG, recruiting players to join the ranks of the Replicant Underground in Los Angeles 2037. Set at the same time and place as the core game, players explore the neon-noir wonderland from the opposite perspective.
The expansion flips the game setting on its head, allowing players to take the roles of Replicants and humans fighting back against those who exploit, abuse, and kill Replicants. It includes a deep dive into the underground world of Blade Runner, at least four new character archetypes, new rules for Covers and Heat, rules for playing and creating Operations, and at least three complete Operations to play.
THE ASSET PACK
This Kickstarter campaign also offers players an ASSET PACK for BLADE RUNNER The Roleplaying Game – playable with both REPLICANT REBELLION and the core game. It includes a host of physical and digital handouts and tools for the Game Runner to create their own Case Files and Operations. The items includes: Independent Sentinel front pages, location maps, crime scene photos, NPC mugshots, data sheets, Esper photos, and more.
CONTENT WARNING

BLADE RUNNER – THE ROLEPLAYING GAME

The Blade Runner RPG core game was released in 2022, earning multiple industry awards. The game pushes the boundaries of investigative gameplay in tabletop RPGs, giving players a range of tools to solve an array of cases far beyond just retiring Replicants. The rules are based on the acclaimed Year Zero Engine, used in other award-winning games such as the ALIEN RPG, Tales from the Loop, and Forbidden Lands, but further developed and uniquely tailored for Blade Runner.
