1. Faith & Anti-Racism Inclusion Strategy

Update

The EDI in the Global Context webpage from the U of T Institutional Equity Office (IEO) has been updated to share their Faith and Anti-Racism Inclusion Strategy. This can support in queries on actions undertaken and underway in how the university addresses antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Israeli discrimination, and anti-Palestinian discrimination.

2. Hiring & Engaging Diverse Student Talent: Employer Toolkit

Update

These interactive modules are shared by U of T Career Exploration & Education and are publicly available. It focuses on the hiring, onboarding, and retention and engagement of students and recent graduates through the lens of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility within the Western world of work.

4. Hiring: Lead Coordinator – Mentorship and Special Projects

The Office of Learner Affairs (OLA) is dedicated to working with and supporting health professions learners and committed to EDI among learners.

This role will oversee the Diversity Mentorship Program (DMP) and be integral to the planning and development of a mentorship strategy for Medical Education, as well as support other initiatives within OLA.

5. Introduction to Contemporary Post-Secondary Education Environments

This course from OISE Continuing & Professional Learning will identify student motivations and best practices for effective engagement across the student lifecycle, and explore the role of all post-secondary professionals in encouraging and enabling optimal conditions for effective teaching and learning environments.

6. Global Citizen Program and workshops

Thu July 4

This co-curricular program hosted by the Centre for International Experience allows students to explore multiple perspectives on what global citizenship means, to build global competencies and skills and to participate in global and civic experiences.

This is the first in a two-part series requirement for the Global Citizen Program.

7. 2024 Career Awards – Canadian Black Scientists Network

Recognize a colleague, peer, or organization for their positive impact on Black success in STEMM by nominating them for a 2024 Career Award from the Canadian Black Scientists Network.

8. Painting Pockets of Peace: Art for Wellbeing

Join Health & Wellness and the HealthyU Crew for a free creative art wellness workshop designed to foster community and allow you to express yourself and de-stress. Paint your own custom tote bag to bring home and make some new friends.

9. Grant application: International Student Experience Fund

U of T International is supporting initiatives that enhance the experience of international students. Letters of intent for Impact grants ($15,000 to $75,000 per year) are due Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
