USEFUL INFORMATION

DIGITAL FASTING

A fasting is the discipline of abstaining from food or certain activities over a designated period of time. As a spiritual discipline, fasting is done to focus on spiritual growth. There are various ways of fasting. Over the years, a new kind of fast is becoming more and more popular, and that is the digital fast. Do you know what it is and how to participate in it? Read more about it at the website of the Barnabas Fund at this link (in Russian only).

MIRACULOUS DELIVERANCE OR DANGER OF FAITH PLUS SOMETHING ELSE

Lately, some our Baptist churches have had a more and more tolerant attitude toward speakers from other denominations, especially from Pentecostal and Charismatic churches (especially those that hide their true identity behind the name of “non-denominational church”). Not everyone realizes the harm that this may bring. That is why we are sharing a testimony of J. Pinkevich, who left a Baptist church in search of special spiritual experiences, moved to a Charismatic church, and went through all their six spiritual steps. In the end, by the grace of God, he was able to realize how dangerous and heretical this teaching was. Read an interview at this link (in Russian only).

THEY SAY: WE ARE CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGISTS

Is it right to send Christians with certain spiritual issues to psychologists, even to those who call themselves “Christian Psychologists”? What is their approach to solving problems? As a Christian who studied psychology first in Russia, and then received a Master’s Degree in Psychology in South Korea, John Pinkevich shares about why he does not practice what he was trained to do, and recommends that others do the same. Watch his interview at this link: They tell us: We are Christian psychologists (in Russian only).

PRAY FOR THEM!

There are a lot of complaints about the Russian and Belarus Christians, some of whom openly support the war of Russia and Ukraine, while some are just quiet. However, there are those who were bold enough to call out evil for what it is and openly opposed it, and are now paying for it: with severe torture, prison sentences, and other afflictions. While in difficult circumstances they are often discouraged and think that they are forgotten, and that no one cares for them. Read more at this link, and pray for them, for God to strengthen those who are suffering today.
