The Member Services Team welcomes you to the Lifetime Learning Institute at Bard College as we begin our 25th year on campus. We offer classes throughout the year as well as social events.

You will be assigned a mentor who can answer any questions you may have, but you may also contact newmemberhelp@lli.bard.edu.

Please plan on attending our summer picnic on Wednesday, July 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Robert Post Park, Kingston. You will receive an invite in your email soon. This will be your first opportunity to pick up your name badge and lanyard, which should be worn at all classes and events.  

On Tuesday, August 20th, and Tuesday, August 27th, we will offer tours of the campus, explain some details about attending classes, and conclude with an informal luncheon. This will be a nice opportunity to meet other new members as well as some LLI leaders. You will receive an invite in your email on August 10th to select a date convenient for you.

Our website, lli.bard.edu, offers useful information for new members. Click on the menu tab on the left of the site, then click on Membership, then click on Expectations and Orientation.  It is important that you scroll down and read the paragraph Campus Parking and click on the link “register your car here,” which directs you to the form.  Parking on campus is restricted and you must secure your parking pass online and then pick up the pass at Bard Security. Review the website Parking on Bard Campus for information on where you should park when attending classes.

Please watch our orientation video which will be posted under Expectations and Orientation in mid-July.

You will receive a link to the class catalog later in August and information about registering for classes, which begin September 5 on Zoom and September 6 in person. Registration for classes and events is through ProClass. Review the procedures regarding ProClass under Courses on our website and watch the video.
