This spring, CHAMPP moved offices from the McKee Professional Building up the hill to a brand new space on the fourth floor of Schenley Place!
Schenley Place is located at the intersection of Bayard Street and Bigelow Boulevard and is home to numerous University of Pittsburgh offices. CHAMPP shares the fourth floor with the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Family Medicine. Our new address is Schenley Place, 4th Floor, 4420 Bayard St., Pittsburgh PA 15213.
CHAMPP is Green!
Since CHAMPP has moved into our own dedicated space within Schenley Place, we are now able to take part in the Green Office project - part of the University of Pittsburgh's Sustainability Plan. We have been officially designated a Sapling Level Green Office!
Welcome to New CHAMPP Staff!
A huge welcome to our new Clinical Research Coordinator Alexandra Florescu Eubank! Alex is a coordinator for the BEST study and Dr. Merlin's K24, as well as a few other projects that are finishing up. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Head and Neck Cancer Center.
CHAMPP Affiliate Faculty Dr. Shari Rogal has been awarded a $6.5 million grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to study implementation strategies for improving cancer screening for veterans. Rogal will investigate how to choose among evidence-based approaches to improve liver and colon cancer screening at 48 Veterans Health Administration sites. The study looks to increase both the number and the diversity of veterans who receive lifesaving screenings and provide useful information to optimize screening.
