The Bridges Retreat

Many members of the College Church community have had life-changing experiences of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola in Everyday Life through the Bridges Retreat.

The Bridges Retreat helps connect and integrate the 500-year-old Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola into our busy lives. It helps us draw closer to God and Jesus; create a more disciplined prayer life using a variety of prayer styles; find spiritual guidance for making big decisions; and form a clearer picture of their purpose and future.

Registration for the 2024-25 Bridges Retreat is now open.
The retreat takes place over the course of eight months, from September through May.

Outreach volunteers
Outreach Program: Volunteers Needed for Remote Appointment Setting Role

Our ID and Birth Certificate (Outreach) Program provides services to assist community members seeking a birth certificate and/or non-driver ID.  An important aspect of our ministry is responding to voicemail messages in order to answer questions and set appointments for program services. We are seeking additional volunteers to help with this role!

Volunteer Role: Appointment Setting for the ID and Birth Certificate Program
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week on Mondays (with flexible timing)
Required Equipment: Must have a laptop or tablet, an internet connection, and be comfortable navigating your device while on the phone.
Desired Skills:
  • Warm and empathetic
  • A good listener and a clear communicator
  • Comfortable navigating an online form and database while on the phone
  • Committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the individuals with whom you speak
Details: This role involves calling individuals from a Google Voice number (not your personal number) and navigating our database in order to set appointments for the program. Calls can be made on the volunteer’s time (within the guidelines listed above) and from their home. We ask that the volunteer be able to commit to regularly making calls on Mondays and that they communicate to the program coordinator in advance when they will be unable to complete calls for a given week. Training will be provided.

If you are interested in this opportunity or have questions, please contact volunteer and parishioner Charles Basuino by email at cbasuino@icloud.com.

Thank you for considering participating in this important ministry!
