As you start to see more and more posts about RIDE THE STORM happening on November 7th at Pacific City Mall in Huntington Beach, we wanted to introduce our partner and beneficiary for the event: SURFRIDER NORTH OC.

Let's rewind to October 2023. Our company was just a couple of months old when we were asked to sponsor SPLASH. If you're a local of HB or have spent any time there, you know that SPLASH is the thing to do on New Year's Day. It’s a day to celebrate the new year and support Surfrider with a polar plunge, featuring community support through auction items and participation in the day's events. Of course, we said YES.

Shortly after accepting, we attended a Beach Cleanup in Newport. We were warmly welcomed by Richard, the chapter chair, and George and Laura Manyak, the special event coordinators. Richard’s commitment to our beaches and oceans is truly inspiring, as he dedicates his time to beach cleanups and monthly meetings. George and Laura have become like family to us—our Surfrider Mom and Dad. They support, encourage, and advocate for us, pouring their hearts into TIOIT. We couldn’t be more grateful.

The meetings, the meet-ups, the cleanups—it's not just about supporting initiatives that protect our oceans; it's an opportunity to connect with the community. Surfboard Winner 🎨

Tracy Mockler, along with her daughter, won our surfboard giveaway for the Marina Surf Team! They picked the “Sunset Orcas” board, #2 in a special series of 10 created by KrisTs Art. This one-of-a-kind board, with its gold leaf waves shimmering at sunset, was even featured in The Adventures of Bubbles, a children’s story that captures the magic of the sea, written by Debbie Wheeland. KrisT’s Art Paint Parties 🎨

We’ve come full circle. Back in 2018, we made waves at Anaheim GardenWalk with Paint Away Breast Cancer—a live concert by TiMo at the House of Blues, a 200-person painting party, and a pop-up shop that brought it all together. It’s where “The Hurricane” was first unveiled as the “O” in TiMo and the heart of the mermaid in the KrisTs Art logo.
