Intro to Tools Workshop
It's been a goal since founding the VTL to offer workshops, so we are so excited to announce that our first-ever Into to Tools workshop will be held next Saturday, February 25th. In this three hour workshop you'll learn the basics about safely working with introductory power tools (skill saws, drills, and sanders). Get to know other VTL'ers, skill share, and gain confidence and understanding around basic tools use! Cost is $10 for VTL members and $20 for non-members. Advance registration is required, so head on over to the Blog for more details and to sign up!
Membership Drive - Refer a Friend
Our referal special has been extended to the end of February! Between now and then, we're encouraging all our current members to refer their friends and family to the VTL. As a thanks to you for helping to spread the word, we will add one month to the duration of your annual maintenance fee for every new member that signs up after your referral! Just remind the potential member to drop your name when they sign up, and we'll automatically add the free month to your account. There is no limit on the number of referals you make (or free months you gain)!
Organizational Memberships Now Available
We've developed an "Organizational Membership"class for non-profits, co-operatives, and small businesses! Under the new membership class, these groups can purchase one membership share and for a $200 annual maintenance fee delegate up to five "authorized users" to borrow tools needed for projects or upkeep of the organization. Think this might be a good fit for your organization? Send an email to Chris at president@vancouvertoollibrary.com for more information or to sign up.

Take Flight!
Have you seen our latest featured VTL Member Project on the blog? We caught up with local artist Emiliano Sepulveda to find out more about the kites he's been handbuilding for the past couple of months. Read more about it on the blog, and please get in touch if you'd like your project featured next month!
