Dear Members, Parents/Guardians:


Thank you to everyone who made it out to our Band Camp Information meeting. It was a lot to cover and we appreciate getting to see everyone, as there is nothing better than receiving information first-hand during the parent meetings. As, mentioned in the meeting, we do have some to-do items for this weekend - details are below.


Band Camp is a critical week for the band! We look forward to fabulous weather and hope we can count on the support of the Band Boosters to help our ensemble have a successful launch to the season!


TO DO ITEMS:

  1. If you want to take advantage of the provided band camp lunch Mon-Thu from Simply Gourmet, you must place your orders by the end of TODAY Aug 08!

  2. Please submit your season contribution fee by AUG 12th Details

  3. Sign Up/Update Your SnapRaise Account by Saturday, Aug 10th details below and additional email on it’s way!

  4. Please find a simple way you can lend a hand for band camp.

  5. Make sure you review the band camp information packet, and any information from your section leaders/staff and have everything you need for band camp.



IMPORTANT BULLET POINTS FROM THE PARENT MEETING

  • PARENT RESOURCES YOU SHOULD KNOW/BOOKMARK

  • OUR FIRST FUNDRAISER BEGINS AUG 12th!

    • SnapRaise is our first fundraiser - it’s sort of like Go Fund Me but for school organizations. It takes about 15 minutes to set up. All we do is provide 20 emails of friends or family we think would donate to help our band. You create a profile page with your picture so people know it’s you. SnapRaise emails your list to ask them to support you. At the end of the last campaign, we made $15K - which we hope we make again this year because that’s an amount we need to pay our marching band tech staff.

  • BAND CAMP

    • Information packets were emailed last week - get it here.

    • Lunch is provided Mon-Thu by Simply Gourmet - order meals by Aug 8th

      • Check the box to select a day, click the pencil to select from 33 meal choices each day. Base meals are fully paid for. If you would like dessert, for example, you may add it to your meal and pay for those extras.

    • Ice Cream Social Thu Evening 7PM, Parent social 7:15 PM at Diamond Spring Brewing Co. at the same time.

    • Friday lunch is Pizza/Wings/Salad - Please plan accordingly (bag lunch as needed)

    • Friday 3 PM Family Picnic! Come out and join us for a fun band camp wrap-up celebration. (We could still use some picnic helpers)

    • Cell phones are needed during camp - protective holders will be provided.

  • NEW UNIFORMS

    • Will be distributed the week following Band Camp

    • New informs are Machine Washable but will come with detailed Care Instructions when issued.

    • Shoes will be ordered for new students my Mr. S during band camp ($40)

  • VOLUNTEERS

    • We still need volunteers for Band Camp - Sign Up

    • Thank you to Sally McGrath, Jess Byrne, Maria Frio, and Rachel Thompson for volunteering to be our Colorguard Parents.

    • Angela Alexander our Senior Parent will be contacting seniors and families and is currently looking for Senior Committee members to help with fun events and gifts for the seniors this year.

    • Join the pit crew! We are currently building our team for the performance pit crew - reach out to Eric Hausman, Dan Scott, or Chris DeChene to express interest.
