Charleston County Council has put a $5.4 billion, half-percent sales tax on the ballot for November.  Since almost half of this tax would be for the Mark Clark Extension (aka 526), the referendum is also about that road project.

The outcome of the November vote will have significant impacts on Johns Island.  We want to hear from you on both the proposed sales tax and the Mark Clark Extension.  This will help us to inform our position on these important issues.

Please take a few minutes over coffee this morning to respond to our poll.  Thanks in advance for responding!

About Rational Roads for Johns Island

Since our founding in November 2020, Rational Roads for Johns Island has advocated for much-needed transportation improvements that are sensitive to both our community and our environment.  We also advocate that improvements in safety must be a principal objective rather than to simply move vehicles through our community.  Finally, we advocate for transportation improvements that are innovative and cost effective.
